Today thirty years ago I defended my [PhD thesis](https://www.cs.ru.nl/~jhh/publications.html#thesis). A little more than a month before, my son was born. And five days after his birth my father died. Three life-changing events compressed in thirty nine days. That somehow triggered the journey that took me here, now, thirty years later. To this amazing state of being. I still cannot believe this all to be real.
