This is part way through a trip from Ireland back to Norway using one ferry (Dublin to Holyhead, Wales), followed by trains all the way to Sweden and then a bus. It is massively more complex (and expensive) than flying but the thing is I do give a shit so feel like I have to try. But governments need to work to make such journeys work better so that they can be a more viable alternative to flying. It's very hard for me to recommend others copy me given all the current pitfalls and price.
