InternetNZ election - boosts welcome. The voting tokens for the INZ election are out. The list of candidates with their statements is online at https://internetnz.nz/governance-and-reports/our-board/board-elections/2026-board-elections/ The remainder of this post advises how to vote tactically should you so wish. INZ uses a form of STV (*). Voters are asked to rank candidates from 1 to n, where n is the number standing. You do not have to rank all candidates. Clearly, if you want specific people to win you should rank them accordingly, i.e. 1 or 2. If there are candidates that you do NOT wish to see elected you should not rank them at all. This is better than just giving them a low ranking because it avoids the possibility of your vote getting transferred to them during the STV count process. * The count process is explained in tedious detail here https://internetnz.nz/governance-and-reports/our-board/board-elections/internetnz-electoral-system-explanation/
