Danielle Smith says there’s no way Alberta’s oil and gas will be part of the trade negotiations with the US. Despite Carney’s statements that ties to the US are “weaknesses” that must be corrected, Smith is focused on “strengthening our trading partnership with the US, selling more energy in all directions.” “We are prepared to sell them more energy. We're prepared to sell them more natural gas. We're prepared to sell them critical minerals and make sure that we continue to sell them the food products that they need so that they can do processing and keep their prices low for their consumers, keep housing prices low if we can get a softwood lumber deal.” She said this with a straight face while the price of gasoline in the US averages $4/gallon. As if Trump cares whether Americans are paying high prices for food, housing or fuel. The "weakest link" strikes again. https://youtu.be/gwOKugzeD9Q?si=Bpw9Wya9OVRCSaBY&t=312 #cdnpoli #Alberta #Canada #trade #tariffs #ableg

Smith wants CLOSER ties with the US. She's admitting it here. Also, if you listen through to the end, she's asked about her campaign to have Alberta remain in Canada and how she's promoting it leading up to the referendum. Watch her squirm as she admits the campaign is not really happening. Some advertising, a website, but she's not getting out on the road to campaign to remain in Canada.🤷
