@ami_angelwings@urusai.social #QuestionOfTheDay : A scene with no dialogue you still think about. Stargate SG-1, "Reckoning, Part 2", the final destruction of the replicators in Season 8. "Point 76." "Do it!" Several seconds of every flippin' Stargate everywhere doing KaWOOSH to a musical score. Two lines of dialogue underscore the events and the gravity. Then for over a minute the score takes over again, and the Ancient Weapon goes off with only facial expressions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSopryli10Q

For me it's the Starship Graveyard scene from Star Trek TNG's The Best of Both Worlds part 2 which would likely have been the cliffhanger if Michael Piller had gotten his way and been allowed to make a 3 parter, but still just an amazing way to go to commercial break. The Enterprise flying through the wreckage of 39 starships as the music builds and you wonder how they're ever going to defeat the Borg now. Also just great music by Ron Jones as usual: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZeraxUSrrU
