This is the first unanimous poll I've ever seen, I think. And with more than four thousand respondents! Wow. This should be pretty sobering for publishers with free obstacles like this.
In my personal worst case, I had subscribed to 404 Media, but at work. When I was medically retired, I did not have it saved in my password manager for some reason. I didn't feel like dealing with recovering the account, so now I just read the first couple grafs and move on. 😕

@spiegelmama@infosec.exchange I do the pirate thing. I use Bypass Paywalls Clean https://gitflic.ru/project/magnolia1234/bpc_uploads And it does what it says. It bypasses paywalls of all sorts. They were DMCA'd off of Github. They ended up over on gitflic.ru . There's also a lot other anti-drm tools there as well on gitflic.
