@paul_ipv6@infosec.exchange Yes! The tools I own the most of are hammers and planes, because there are so many variations fit for very specific tasks.
One can do master-quality work with generic tools, but the price is time. Specialized tools allow quality and speed to coexist. So finding an odd tool is a window into what needed to be done well, repeatedly, and with at least some efficiency.

@W6KME@mastodon.radio speed, accuracy, quality, and consistency are what the right specialized tool gets you. if you do something a lot, it's worth it. for some finicky tasks, it's also worth it.
