I mean, you already own a humvee. I always thought that was kinda silly. You can buy like 3 old Jeep Cherokees, install lift kits, axles, lockers, bumpers, etc. and have 3 highly capable vehicles for the price of a humvee. Less if you can do some of the work yourself. I have about $19k in mine, and that includes an engine swap.

(I assume you're socal based) I was in Darwin Australia recently, and just about every 4x4 over there has a snorkel. But they get a rainy season that floods everything so it makes sense. I've always wondered why people have them in socal, but what do I know I don't go offroad much. I think I crossed an 8" deep stream in my car once, that was it.
