@rzeta0@mathstodon.xyz that's part of his weird campaign against old-style four-function calculators. When some software calculators are set to "basic" mode they emulate that style of calculator. I mean the ones where to calculate a square root you'd type first the number and *then* the square root button. Did you grow up with that type of calculator or are you too young?

@FishFace@ioc.exchange I grew up in the 80s where calculators did (9) then (sqrt) But later the best generation had calculators which tried to emulate written notation. But that didn't work for me as the uncertainty of interpretation was much greater.
