@0xSim@hachyderm.io The ban applies to a lot more than "mostly vibe-coded" projects - as detailed in the blog post at the very bottom: ``` * Projects written and maintained with heavy use of LLMs * Projects heavily tied to the LLM ecosytem, e.g. LLM-written tools to ease LLM usage ``` This is obvious "anti-AI" rhetoric, regardless of whether the projects are "sloppy" or whatnot. I moved all my repos away from Codeberg to my own Forgejo instance yesterday - having anything there if you use any LLM tooling whatsoever means you're setting yourself up for nasty surprises. @jti42@infosec.exchange @Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de

@troed@swecyb.com @0xSim@hachyderm.io @Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de Given Linus' stance and the development reality there, this would even set up Linux for unpleasant surprises. Together with the first contradictory/copout stance around "if there is a community around it" this opens a door for a variety of arbitrary actions. I did read their blog post and have to say that I had higher expectations for them regarding their line of reasoning. But then again: My point on self-hosting holds.

@troed@swecyb.com @0xSim@hachyderm.io @jti42@infosec.exchange @Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de Not so sure about using Forgejo since the same people are involved. I’ve not looked at gitea in awhile but definitely not feeling comfortable with Forgejo.
