Requiring local storage and/or deletion of data – this is one people don't think about as much, but states could force companies to keep data near where it is collected, and require it to be deleted within specific time frames

A bill of basic privacy rights – it's common to hear people say "I don't do anything wrong so I'm not worried" but that doesn't hold up when it's your doctor's visits that are tracked from a license plate camera or CCTV And if it turns out you have a medical condition, that data could be hacked/sold to people who will charge you more because they know you're vulnerable, and so on
