Which is - aside of Gogs/Gitea/... original appeal as good software - in my view the actual value proposition of Forgejo. And I think one of their original propositions at the fork event. It still needs some work but would then lead to such events being a complete non-event. Everyone gets to select their ideologically aligned forge, no deduction in discoverability or search or cross-forge interaction.
