Voyager is serving up some really wacky episodes. I just watched Nothing Human, where Belana is attacked by a huge parasitic lobster. You'd think this would be the focus of the episode, but you'd be wrong: everyone, including Belana, is far more focused on the hollogram created to help get the alien off. (Phrasing) This is because it is based off the research findings of a Cardassian war criminal (ah, but I repeat myself). Apparently this is contravercial, or something. I'm not gonna say this is the worst episode (that's still Retrospect), but it does hold the disdinction of being the only episode where Tom fucking Paris is the voice of reason.

Also, not that this is new analasis or anything but they went way overboard on Seven of Nine. I don't hate her like I used to, she's a fine character, but teh amount of nerd bonering from the writers is truly embarrassing. Easily half of the episodes since she arrives involve her as the central protagonist. There are other characters on the ship, guys.
