Yes, that story was never as simple as the common narrative makes it seem, but the civilization-collapsing levels of short-sightedness all around us is real.

@DavidM_yeg@beige.party @RedRobyn@mastodon.nz Desperation and panic bring all kinds of unhelpful reactions. As we are so painfully seeing. I harsh moments I wish we could interview the people who killed the last passenger pigeons, knowing they were going extinct, and still killing them. Or perhaps grill is the word. As in the Inquisition.
