Thinking about the sci-fi novella "Profession" by Isaac Asimov, published in 1957.
In the future, people's brains are tested for professional aptitudes, and then "Educated" by a machine which trains their mind to do a job.
One man is told his brain cannot be Educated. He tries to prove he can learn anyway, by reading books. Everyone ridicules him.
Spoiler: he tested out of the Education system because he has the capacity for creativity.
Anyway, thinking about that for no reason
