RE: https://mastodon.online/@mullvadnet/116957571811403553 Unfortunately the blog post is the usual "it's the individual, not the company" line without acknowledging that people are upset because the company sends money to said individual. People don't want to be indirectly funding these politics and unless you say that person is no longer directly getting money from the company which facilitates that money, I don't want to give you my money.

@brettcannon@mastodon.social If I order a taxi and the driver turns out to be my political opponent, should I make a fuss and demand my money back? Or should I refuse to pay taxes to a government that uses them for purposes with which I strongly disagree? And so on. It is always better to accept other people for who they are and not label them as an enemy at the same time.

@brettcannon@mastodon.social they're also completely ignoring the fact that a pro-deportation, pro-surveillance CEO is a huge security risk. If he believes enough in those causes to spend several million SEK furthering them, it's probably a good idea to think about what else he might be willing to do.

@brettcannon@mastodon.social they're really trying to PR spin this like people don't already understand giving money to Mullvad means giving money to the person that runs the company and is funding fascism.
