Over 100 data centers have been proposed on or next to Tribal lands.
Data centers use up, evaporate, and poison hundreds of billions of gallons of drinking water -- and they’re often in drought-prone regions where Tribes already face water scarcity.
Big Tech companies are endangering native communities by targeting Tribal lands and building racist biases into AI programs. Zam DeShields (Chickasaw Nation), calls this “an extension of colonialism.”

@lisagetspolitik@union.place data centers on tribal lands are detention infrastructure. they are intended to host the compute layer of the deportation system while being out of reach, maximally opaque to any oversight.
