There is no certifiable ownership with these Cloud-based deals. A lot of this ai bonanza is apparently being paid for either with cryptocoins or with funds using off-shore accounts containing dubious ledgers which themselves are located in the Cayman Islands, etc.. Any Series B or Series A company whose whole deal with the way they both brand and then try to sell online Intellectual Property is this single element: we already like what we're doing and we'll shove it down your throats. Take it or leave it. Software development within The Commons? They just reply with this line: "leave it to the volunteers in Open Source." This last part is not working for THEM. Do you understand now, infosec readers? The people in charge know they're in trouble because they've been treating us all badly for years. It is just lock-down with the newest and most pernicious form of capitalism: surveillance capitalism. People such as the Trump family/Trump Organization have already made billions from skimming off of our best efforts. Now these American companies are inadvertently doing it again by standing by and letting China out compete their business models over China releasing really cheap LLMs. The people in the margins are able to work with the pricks at Microsoft by coming up with new APIs etc. Still, the answer is always no with these five things: 1) Use open license architecture. 2) No monitoring or spying should occur in the code itself: this means connections and apps loading from or data and content being delivered to anything that connects the process to all the users. 3) Companies must not willy-nilly place an user's identity right into the central, logistical and operational theme of any online platform. This is going to be a cultural and gradual shift that they're going to hate... especially the MAGA right-wing business people. High flyers in corporate finance such as the libertarian and egalitarian Jamie Dimon can eat a d--- if they really think that the idea of who's in charge and yes it does matter who's in charge will not ever fundamentally change from both the administrative and financial side of things. Just put more women and BIPOCs in charge of Fortune 500 businesses who have different heritages and cultural values. 4) Stop selling shitty software that underperforms. Simplify first and design around economics and not vanity. 5) Pay people a living wage — you myriad of pricks who are called shareholders. To some young people especially BIPOC developers the word shareholder means "master" to them.
