Everything they say about Manchester people is true. I nearly got hit by a cyclist (entirely my fault) and all he said was “C’mon mate!” - then cycled off. No swearing, no threats of physical violence, spitting, etc that I’ve seen in similar situations in my locale. I wanted to apologise profusely for making him break hard but he was gone in a flash. Gentleman, my sincere apologies, I was tired and didn’t look!

@peejmaybe@toot.community once in Bristol I had a close encounter with a cyclist whose retort was "wakey wakey!" But in that case I had judged we wouldn't collide and it was only because he cut the corner that we were on a collision path rather than him passing behind me...
