And I've course I've always heard that about Python. "It's so simple and easy." It's obviously a super popular programming language, and everyone writes it; I've just never had a need to reach for it when another language would do just fine. Why bother?
Recently I was laid off after working 6 years at the NBA, so I have a little downtime. There you go, perfect reason to learn some news skills.

So I'm learning Rust and Python. Really enjoying both so far, but of course Rust has a bit of a higher learning curve (which I think is totally worth it for all the benefits that it provides). I'm taking my time with Rust, and I certainly don't expect to learn it in a day, or a weekend. But wow, Python? I feel like I already know it, and I've barely gotten started.
