@zersiax@cupoftea.social the only rationale I can see is that people know if you're holding a phone, whereas wearing glasses is done for reasons other than recording stuff.
it does seem very blown out of proportion, but then given I can't see whether people are holding a phone or wearing their glasses, I don't feel very qualified to comment.

@cachondo@defcon.social You're not wrong but people in the know will immediately recognize these glasses for what they are. And by people in the know, I generally mean people who raise hell about these. So the clandestine angle goes away entirely and even if not, who wears sunglasses in a bathroom or other intimate inside setting apart from, I guess, photosensitive (blind) people?

@cachondo@defcon.social I think it's also true that holding a phone in front of your face, particularly these days, is incredibly common. You might be scrolling, or checking a map, or texting... or filming boos, who knows
