Actors with perfectly straight white teeth, perfect skin, tall... Yeah, that wasn't the pre-medicine times. Lack of adequate nutrition was a big thing, even among nobility. People were scarred from countless bug bites and parasites... Suffice it to say, it wasn't as pretty as Hollywood depicts it. (Ironically enough, the opposite is true of backgrounds, wherein Hollywood loves to make the past look drab and colourless when the reality is that people painted and coloured their spaces extensively!)
