Codeberg is banning "cryptocurrency projects": https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/org/pulls/1254#issuecomment-19820413 I don't know if Mitra qualifies as such, but I guess it is time to move to a self-hosted forge.

We also explicitly do not tolerate: ... Content that harms the reputation of Codeberg, such as cryptocurrency related projects. That's particularly funny. Nothing harms your reputation as much as policies inspired by stupid ragebait like web3isgoinggreat.com

@silverpill@mitra.social So does that mean anything for us that are on #Mitra servers?

@silverpill@mitra.social I saw that their rules prohibit cryptocurrency-related projects. Since Mitra has a built-in Monero donation module, I'm afraid they'd consider it a cryptocurrency-related project too.

  • @silverpill@mitra.social oh. Anyway, hosting forgejo doesn't require too much effort. I've migrated to my own instance recently (with OIDC SSO via Dex, lol) and now moving my projects from github and other places. The only problem for Mitra might be the pull requests: you'll either need to allow registration on your instance or you'll have to migrate to Linux approach with git send-email and git am. So now waiting for federation to stabilize and we'll build our own git network with cross-instance PRs and comments.
