When the game is described as a frustrating, unfair, exhausting experience, yeah, it ends up being “experiencing psychological pain = experiencing physical pain” which is exactly the parallel I was making, yes. Hard is very different from unfair, and not knowing the difference shows a lack of understanding of game design.
