Why digital privacy matters more than most people think.
During communism in Europe people were surveilled. Their letters were opened, their activities monitored but this surveillance didn't invade the private space.
This has changed with the digital age. Most of our communication moved to the online space. Even your private conversations mostly happening online. I reckon most people don't realise how much of their communication is digital.
It's easy to neglect the online surveillance since there are no people physically around you to watch and report. You don't see the direct signs of the intrusion until it's too late.
