Disgusting woman. When asked, she couldn't make a statement condemning domestic violence, she chose to victim blame instead. Leaving an abusive relationship is dangerous. I know from personal experience - my ex tried to kill me in an effort to "win" me back (I don't know how he ever thought that would work). He was armed with a knife, and he said he was not going to kill me if I agreed to take him back.     @Kyna@aus.social I'm sorry that happened to you. And yep, Hanson is dangerously wrong. It's dangerous to leave, it's expensive, sometimes people risk their children's safety and access too. And add to it the gall to suggest there's shared blame for "putting up with" someone else's abuse.
