@darkuncle@infosec.exchange Ok but if someone sold you "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" and it was about Frodo and Sam's high value deals on wall street and Gandalf being Kidnapped by the Ent-Lord - you'd be quite correct in feeling misled, at best. Giving it the same name and sequence number and calling it a remake implies a certain continuity that seems to be lacking, no matter how good it actually is. If someone sold you a "Rolex" and it turned out to be a Swatch with "swatch" crossed out in magic marker - you would be justified in feeling somewhat misled and wonder why they would do such a thing.
