Right saw this being boosted by someone else, who remarked that someone famous boosted this. Personally I think this is a really amazing piece of work that deserves some recognition - including the sculptor's name which is missing in the boosted screen shot. so after boosting the boost myself, two people then engaged in a conversation about the person who originally boosted and completely ignored the sculpture and its creator. if anyone knows who she is, I'd be more than happy to add her name to it. (yes this is a bit of a wtf subtoot, but hopefully we can find out who made this)

well it seems it may be AI after all. I even found this posted on a non-X but missing a name there as well. given the quality of actual ice carvings at winterfests in Canada (eg Ottawa, Quebect city) this is even more disappointing, as there're sculptures going unnoticed and unappreciated.

@maya_b we ignored it, because the assumption is that this is AI generated. There even is a ✨ watermark in the picture.

@maya_b i can’t tell if this is sarcastic or not, but if it isn’t: it’s AI! You can even see a watermark bottom right of the picture. If this is sarcastic, feel free to woosh me.

@maya_b Maybe I'm just very cynical but I would dismiss this immediately as engagement bait if it popped up in my feed. The crying face. The very skilled art. The sob story. The uber-generic twitter handle. Doesn't pass the smell test.
