what's next? wishing for binaries that don't need 100MB of "ressources"? I remember the time when Delphi was called shit, because "newer" versions included most of VCL into binaries per default, blowing output executable files up by whopping 2MB.

@fribbledom@mastodon.social I put OpenBSD on a desktop machine for the first time this year. It went to X11 and twm. After "hello darkness, my old friend" played in my head, I realized how zippy quick it was. And it all configures up with text files... 😮 ... such simplicity.

@fribbledom@mastodon.social That's the best retro vibe. And honestly yeah, I might actually think that because I'm running something that isn't laggy. I mean, when I first was using computers it was important to consider memory and cpu and all of that. Now... I don't know, is there any demo scene or such?
