@BowsacNoodle@poa.st It sucks. Sure you can just give them obscure/old media that'd not gay, but then that'll stunt their relationship with their peers by not letting them share in whatever's popular. I don't actually know what the right solution is.

@BowsacNoodle@poa.st Almost nobody who can write well and takes writing seriously will write "children's literature" because the medium itself is essentially propaganda and bringing the classroom home with its modern morality plays so that the only people who write "children's literature" are the last people who should be writing for children. As someone who remembers Scholastic book fairs and reading some of that slop you are better of not even bothering with with anything remotely from that sphere. Maybe find some old Hardy Boys books (the original un-modernised ones) if you want some sort of book series for "younger audiences" otherwise stay the hell away from the children's media ghetto. There's no reason why a boy can't read the classics.
