I'm still not sure why I can't see this 433mhz device on my 433 receiver, even though I can see other devices.
but now that I know the protocol is right and I know my device_id, I can try blindly transmitting and see if that works

I've got rtl_433 still listening so I can tell when my device is transmitting the wrong thing which it is! constantly!
