@netopwibby@social.coop Your paint job looks fantastic! I have a different revision of the same keyboard. I disassembled and cleaned it up once and have some photos buried on backup. If you really need a reference photo or just have a question, feel free to ask. I got lucky and didn't have to disassemble any keyswitches or do any soldering, so I can't speak to that outside of general soldering advice. Best of luck with the switch replacement!

@TommyTorty10@infosec.exchange Thanks! I’ve never soldered before but I found a tutorial where the guy was like, “relax, it doesn't need to be perfect, you’ll be fine," so I feel better about this. I’d prefer if I put my spacebar on correctly the first time so I could be typing on that instead of my AEK II but alas. If the switches are mind-blowing, I just might upgrade this AEK too.
