"Arabised" as if there was a genocide of local ethnic groups and forced usage of Arabic as the lingua franca, with no agency from the locals to use it. That term is the European/Western empire projecting its own crimes against humanity onto the region, assuming there was never a native group of people in that region exercising their own agency to use the language.

@wrzky@kolektiva.social @fabio@manganiello.eu Okay, sure. Call it pan-Arabic and anti-colonial; it still isn’t strongly democratic or pluralistic. It’s not coincidental that democratic countries generally support a two-state solution.
