I've been running Linux for more than 30 years and I, of course, LOVE Open Source Software. What I'm sick of, however, is people in the Linux and Open Source community telling me to run Firefox instead of Vivaldi because Vivaldi isn't 100% Open Source. You know what Vivaldi and their team aren't? They aren't supporters of fascism by rejoining Twitter like Firefox just did. So, please, shut up about Firefox.

@cmccullough@polymaths.social So much this. I've been anti-FF for a long time because my priorities are Privacy > General Morals > Open Source. Part of my morals is being very pro-adult content. Firefox has, for a while, taken a hard stance against pornography, mentioning that you aren't allowed to use Firefox to consume, or distribute, any kind of pornographic material on the same line as saying you can't use it for graphic violence. I cannot use Firefox without violating the legally binding Acceptable Use Policy. I'll keep running Vivaldi, at least they won't sue me for looking at things that most people do. (Sorry, this isn't aimed at you, just a shared frustration from a different angle. Fuck Mozilla)
