@pojntfx@mastodon.social we very much need those spaces. USB-C dock with a screen is a very cosy but practical version of this in 2026. Keyboard, mouse and wired internet all come along for the ride. It's not quite the "anonymous" internet cafes of the past, but most people have their pocket super computers these days. So the shared screen makes a lot of sense. It's interesting to me what these changes to an internet cafe setup also tell us how much has changed about computing and shared spaces.
