@Crell@phpc.social I want to agree with this, but it’s demonstrably not true, and there is no better proof of this than what I’ve been doing with PHP Internals lately. People are more receptive to criticism and new ideas when it is phrased politely, constructively, and delicately. AI is far better at this than me, in part due to it not having an ego. It can fairly assess other proposals and weigh differences between them. Sadly, AI-generated responses tend to be met with hostility when they are detected, even when they are correct. I suspect it is a form of uncanny valley combined with the person feeling devalued that the human didn’t spend the time to write the response themselves. Ironically, the wall of text from AI is a more complete and accurate answer in most contexts.
