the scene where she wakes up to find her friends eaten by the mantis queen is so eerie bc the mantis queen is babbling saying stuff mantis/marguerite says. it might even be quoting theories she only developed later which kinda suggests a time travel thing going on? that or Mania had just decided becoming the mantis queen was her fate. honestly makes “i didnt want to eat them but i was just so hungry” way worse
