This has been on the horizon for a while, and one of the things that nativist conservatives are freaking out over. There are no clear solutions that would be acceptable to them, and none that are, are practical or likely to work. Population drop is not an insurmountable problem, nor necessarily an evil, but through lack of planning and foresight, it certainly can become one.
