now watching a video that referred to death as being a possible but very unlikely side effect.
thanks Parkside Hospital, this is very reassuring.
(the video did go on to say the chances of death are lower than driving a car... which isn't as reassuring as they imagine)

@dee@social.treehouse.systems yeah, the chances of most surgeries resulting in death is a non-zero, but with an SRS there are a few more concerns- this is always why it's best to research the doctor doing it and their success rate for patients. The one I researched for mine (which has of yet to happen) has an amazing record, so I'm relieved- but I have also accepted it might happen- and not being able to live in a body that best resembles my self? death isn't the worst outcome :/
