@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu So … when are we going to actually do what we can against it? I'm talking about real change, not "too little too late".

    @scy@chaos.social @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu I think we're doing a pretty good job. Honestly there's not much the EU can do about climate change at this point outside of technological advances. The EUs per capita emissions are lower than those of China and the rest of the Western world. With a much smaller population. The EU is nearing 5% of global emissions, and with that global per capita average (might have actually gone below that in 2026), and with a downward trend.

  • @scy@chaos.social @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu Never. What we would need to do in order to really make a change is far too radical to be politically feasible. Too little, too late, is all we will ever do until the collapse of the Industrial Age begins to make all the decisions for us and we will be too busy trying to survive the escalating chaos in the present to think about the future or make any plans (which probably won't work out anyway because of all the chaos).
