It's funny how I used to always record video in 16:9 because it was the "cool cinematographic experience" (not really, movies are even wider) but now I'm back to recording at 4:3, with a square overlay on top for centering in case I want to crop the video into a square. All because of social media. I'm never recording vertical video tho, that's cursed. - Panoramic is for wide areas like landscapes, rooms, events. - Square is for showing objects, small actions, small creatures (cat). - Vertical is for self obsessed people recording each others bodies.
