man, #Thunderbird really has become absolute ass. like maybe I'm a decade or more late to realizing this because I didn't use it so long, but the UX is absolutely atrocious. how many fucking times does it need to download the same set of messages in the same folder???

and then it forgets the sort order. every time. unreal. it's 2026, for fuck's sake. this basic functionality should be sorted.
