and then it forgets the sort order. every time.
unreal. it's 2026, for fuck's sake. this basic functionality should be sorted.

the thing I hate most about thunderbird is how it will silently not download new messages. No idea why this happens, even after clicking "Get messages" it will just be stuck in a state where no new emails arrive until it's restarted
