It stinks that all the lovable goofballs I enjoy are spread all over the globe and we can't actually build an in-person community and sense of belonging that our social primate nervous systems desperately want and need. I think the social atomization of neoliberal capitalism is the thing I resent most about it. Very few systems have worked so hard to get into every inch of our lives and make it hard to make community and belonging function (of course, it learned from some the most efficient forms of this, like the slave economy of the US South...blegh). It's all so fucked up and we all deserve better.
