@MongooseStudios@hachyderm.io It’s evaluating decision making capability. Choosing to pay more to “attend” a college that has zero incentive to adhere to any standards at all other than shareholder ROI is a marker for me that you’re not worth my time. You are also projecting your own feelings onto my post. I never said anything about having a degree requirement for any positions.

  • @brett@bitflipp.social You don't know anything about why they made that decision. Maybe they got a scholarship offer from one of the recruiters that came to their school. Maybe their home life was complicated and the requirement to get parental tax information so they could apply for pell money was a barrier. Maybe they didn't even know there was a difference when they enrolled because they were doing what they thought they were supposed to do and going off to get that stupid degree. Fair enough you didn't say you put "must have degree" on the JD, but the part where you're making up a narrative about people so you can justify passing on them based on arbitrary rules you've made up is beyond shitty.
