@ccferrie@mastodon.ie @yrrsinn@chaos.social getting ahead of the issue seems sensible. Waiting for it to be a real and intractable problem before doing anything about it is how we got *here* on fucking everything. Anyone trying to do the same to cats would be out of power in about ten minutes, as you know well.

@Colman@mastodon.ie @yrrsinn@chaos.social We got ahead of the problem when the last government introduced stringent regulations on the specifications and use of e-scooters. I'll say it again, we don't have a regulation problem, we have an enforcement problem. More unenforceable regulation won't improve safety. Enforcing existing regulations will.
