“Trump has signed an executive order that will impose tariffs of 50 per cent on a wide range of Canadian exports …
products that until now have been allowed into the U.S. tariff-free under terms of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) would be hit..
is five times higher than the current duty imposed on the small portion of Canada's exports to the U.S. that don't comply with CUSMA”

Trump’s new tariffs are another attack on Canada dairy policy. While US dairy runs off immense subsidies, Canada does supply management, policy that limits production to current demand. Match production to demand so producers don’t need subsidies and consumers don’t pay too much. Plenty of criticism over supply management, but the US subsidy system isn’t feasible in Canada, do Canadians want “made in Canada dairy”? Watch every Canadian voice who’s criticized supply management and how they frame these new tariffs .. Why should Canadians be concerned about our milk? https://albertamilk.com/ask-dairy-farmer/difference-canadian-american-milk/
