Trump’s new tariffs are another attack on Canada dairy policy. While US dairy runs off immense subsidies, Canada does supply management, policy that limits production to current demand. Match production to demand so producers don’t need subsidies and consumers don’t pay too much.
Plenty of criticism over supply management, but the US subsidy system isn’t feasible in Canada, do Canadians want “made in Canada dairy”?
Watch every Canadian voice who’s criticized supply management and how they frame these new tariffs ..
Why should Canadians be concerned about our milk?

@pinhman@humanwords.party Excellent article from Alberta Milk... what will happen if we don't export our milk? U.S. can't put tariffs on a product we don't export to that country? Maybe I'm being too simple?
