Think about it - we already have a ban on anyone under the age of 16 using e-scooters. This recent debate has been happening because of the increasing number of serious injuries among children using e-scooters. Changing the age limit from 16 to 18 does nothing to stop children using them. Bringing in additional legal requirements for helmets and hi-viz clothing also does nothing to stop people who are already using e-scooters illegally.
