If you're following someone who posts interesting stuff but boosts way too often, you can mute just their boosts:
1. Go to the account's profile page
2. Click the ⋯ button
3. Click "Hide Boosts"
Their own posts will continue appearing in your timeline as normal, but their boosts won't.

@FediTips@social.growyourown.services this is such an obviously-useful feature…I remember struggling with "I like what this person personally posts but they retweet too much stuff I don't care a whit for" over on :birdsite:
